At National Dental Care Kooringal in Wagga Wagga, we love welcoming new patients to our beautifully-designed, modern practice. All of our rooms have televisions on the ceilings, to allow you to watch your favourite movies whilst laying back in the dental chair.

Our friendly and professional team are here to assist you in any way required, to make your visit a comfortable, positive and a stress-free experience whilst in our care.

Your first visit

Your first appointment at National Dental Care Kooringal in Wagga Wagga may take around 40 - 50 minutes. When arriving at our practice, you'll be warmly greeted by our friendly receptionist before being invited to make yourself comfortable in our relaxing waiting room. Sit back and relax whilst watching our large television screen.

New patient first visit information

Our receptionist team will be here to help answer any of your queries about your visit. We ask that you please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your appointment, to allow for time to fill out a medical history form. This information will assist our dental team with your important relevant information.

Remember to bring your health fund and Medicare cards with you.

To assist our dental team, please download and complete the new patient medical history questionnaire, and bring the completed form with you to your initial dental consultation.

Your child's first visit

At Kooringal Dental we love treating children. We understand how important your child's first visit is, so we try to make it a fun experience, like allowing your child to hold the mirror and count their teeth.

Children love lying back in the dental chair to watch our cartoons on the kid’s TV channel on the television screen on the ceiling.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

This funding from Medicare provides basic dental services to children. Dental services are capped at $1,132 over 2 consecutive calendar years.

Are you feeling nervous?

We understand that you may be feeling nervous or anxious about your first visit. Please let our friendly reception team know if you are feeling anxious about booking your appointment.

We offer several options to make you feel at ease during the appointment:

What to expect at your first consultation

Dental history discussion

During your appointment you will be greeted by your dentist, where all your concerns will be discussed carefully. Your dentist will run through your full history and get an understanding of your dental issues.

Oral examination and clean

A full oral examination will take place to assess your mouth, gums and teeth for any signs of concern.

X-rays (if required)

Your dentist may recommend taking x-rays of your teeth/mouth and may take some photographs and moulds of your teeth in some occasions where necessary.

Treatment options

This will be followed by a discussion of your treatment options and full estimates of the cost of treatment. We do offer flexible payment plans for larger treatments to make our services accessible for all patients.
