Bringing Hollywood Smiles to you with Dental Veneers in Wagga Wagga
Veneers are a thin piece of porcelain or composite resin that we attach to the front of your teeth to cover imperfections.

Dental Veneers are an extremely effective and efficient way of improving your smile.
If you’re thinking of getting veneers, then don’t hesitate to contact us here at Kooringal Dental for an appointment! Our team will take great care of you, assess your suitability for this treatment and ensure that you are more than happy with your new smile.
You can choose to have a singular veneer to cover one tooth, or go for a whole set to really transform your smile. With the right care, your new tooth/teeth can last for 20 years or more!
What Are Veneers?
A veneer completely covers up the front surface of a tooth, changing and improving its appearance. This treatment is useful for teeth that are chipped, cracked or worn down, or which are very badly stained.
Veneers can also be used to close up or minimise spaces in between teeth, or to correct teeth that are too small or just slightly out of line.

Am I eligible?
As mentioned above, veneers Wagga are attached to the front of your teeth, so it is important that your gums and enamel are healthy enough to hold them. In terms of misalignment, if you suffer with a mild case, then this treatment should work for you, but if your teeth are crooked or you have an overbite, then you may not be eligible.
At our practice we will always have a consultation appointment with you before starting any type of treatment, to ensure that you are eligible and it’s right for you. This is vital, as we don’t want to provide you with a treatment that isn’t suitable for you. If it turns out that this treatment wouldn’t be the best one for you, we will happily recommend others which could be a better route to a great result.
What will happen?
Our dentists are highly skilled in attaching veneers, and they do it often, so you’re in great hands. They will attach your veneers using dental cement, and this will then be hardened using a strong beam of light. Before this, our dentist may need to remove a thin layer of enamel to allow the veneers to blend in better and stop them from sticking out. This procedure can be done in one appointment, which is really helpful if you don’t have time for constant dental appointments.

Types of Veneers
There are a few differences between composite resin and porcelain veneers, but either way, they can both really help to improve your smile. When you choose composite resin, it will be a quicker process, and you will only need one appointment with us. This is great if you want to go for a more affordable option that won’t disrupt your schedule.
If you choose to go for porcelain instead, we will do this in two appointments as opposed to one. The first appointment allows us to examine your teeth and take an impression which will be used to influence the creation of your new teeth.
What's the difference between porcelain veneers and composite resin veneers
Based on your needs, the shape and size of the dental veneers can be adjusted to make your teeth overall look longer and or closer together. You can have just one veneer fitted or a whole set, known as a smile makeover.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have you ever worn false nails?
In essence, veneers Wagga are similar to false nails. But obviously, they are placed on your teeth!
Using either a dental mould or a 3D scanner, our team takes the impressions of the teeth that the laminates are going to be attached to. Then, these images or moulds are sent to our partner dental laboratory where they are created out of porcelain. They can be colour matched to your natural teeth or they can be used to whiten your smile, They can also be used to conceal cracks, minor gaps or correct minimal issues with misalignments.
Laminates are fitted using a mild sanding of the front of the teeth and dental cement.
Firstly, our team will use a slow drill to remove a tiny fraction of the front of the teeth that the laminates are going to be attached to. After that, we will place dental cement on the front of the teeth and then we will gently attach the laminates.
After a few minutes of the cement setting, they are fixed in place. Simple!
This process should not be painful and so, we do not use numbing agents. But if you feel any discomfort, please tell us!
It is easy to have concerns that any porcelain fixtures will become stained eventually. After all, few people want to give up coffee!
It is worth noting that while porcelain laminates can become stained, it is highly unlikely. The porcelain used to make the veneers is not as porous as the natural enamel of the teeth and so, even if you drink red wine and coffee regularly, staining is unlikely to occur.
But if you notice that your laminates are changing colour, then you should contact our team to discuss whitening options.
Provided that they are cared for correctly, porcelain laminates can easily last for over 15 years.
But to ensure that they do last as long as possible, you will need to maintain a high level of dental hygiene and will need to attend our dental practice at least twice a year for check-ups.
If you have concerns that your oral laminates are coming loose or are falling off, then please contact our team for an assessment.
Fortunately, the care needed to maintain oral laminates is minimal.
You will have to brush your teeth as you normally would, floss and rinse with mouthwash at least twice a day. This will help to reduce the likelihood of gum disease or tooth decay, both of which can shorten the lifespan of your laminates. You will also need to attend biannual check-ups with our team so that we can identify any issues as early as possible.
Similarly, if you are a smoker or drink excessively, you will need to limit these activities as both can cause oral laminates to fall off due to receding gums or periodontal disease.
If you would like any more advice on how to care for your oral laminates, please call our team.
