Meet the Team Merrimac

Dr Alex Poli qualified from the University of Manchester in 2006 and was our Clinical Lead Dentist at DB Dental Melville before relocating to National Dental Care Merrimac. Dr Poli is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry, implants, and short-term orthodontic aspects of dentistry, including Invisalign.

Growing up in Brisbane it was natural for me to attend the University of Queensland. I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science, in 1993, and received a scholarship with Queensland Health. This allowed me to see life in different areas of Northern Queensland.

Dr Duncan Drew is a skilled dentist with 17 years of working experience. He qualified at the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2005 and has gained invaluable working experience in several countries including Holland, South Africa and New Zealand. In New Zealand he worked at a cosmetic dental practice and before that, Dr Drew ran his own dental practice in Durban, South Africa for 10 years.

Dr. Keerthi Naidu graduated with distinction from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2007 with various awards and prizes for her academic and clinical excellence. She has worked for over 11 years in Darwin and Gold Coast with experience in public and well-reputed private practices.

I have worked in the dental Arena since 1983 graduating as a Dental Therapist allowing me to treat school-age children within the education system throughout Brisbane, Toowoomba, and Gladstone.

I graduated in 1989 in Adelaide with an Associate Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Over my career, I have practiced in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland, both in general and specialist practices. I am very passionate about my work and love what I do. I have a special interest in nervous patients ranging from the very young to the very old, and I work hard to make them feel at ease by presenting a relaxed and friendly approach to dentistry.

Dr Jacey Li enjoys restoring smiles and working together with patients to improve their oral health. Good oral health boosts confidence and happiness and Dr Jacey would love to help you in any step of your journey. She completed her studies at Griffith university with several academic excellence awards and has loved it here since. She has a calming presence and will help even the most anxious patients find comfort and relief. If you are ever in pain, you can be assured with she will find you relief in a most delicate and understanding fashion. She is well trained in wisdom tooth removal, crowns and veneers, removable dentures and all general aspects of dentistry. She puts due consideration to deliver the best outcomes tailored to your needs. Jacey also regularly attends dental courses to expand her knowledge. She exposes herself to the latest root canal techniques and stays updated in her treatment philosophy. In her downtime, she enjoys trying different cuisines and reading.
